Billy Sharp believes the interest of the people of ward 11 in Cleveland Ohio have been jeopardized. He says its as though the University Circle development, the Cleveland downtown development with Cleveland Horseshoe Casino run by Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and the new Medical Mart soon to open. No matter how much it was needed for the over all good of the city he feels as though the peoples needs in Ward 11 have been neglected and says he plans to put a change to that.

Billy Sharp has a deep rooted spirituality with a keen sense to give back to those that are less fortunate. He has the support of his congregation at Mt. Gillion Baptist Church in Cleveland Ohio who most recently partnered with the United States Marine Corps during the Christmas holiday to give away toys to tots. Billy Sharp has also worked to bring much needed health screenings and computer literacy to those in the community
